That's absolutetly great !!

So what happened with the electronic ignition? Did the points swap fix it?
I am about to install a similar module in my GAZ, never knew it is so dodgy.(lucky for me I have 1 spare)
I'll follow your trip on facebook.

Have a great journey with that awesome machine :)

I had an Accuspark fitted a few years ago. It was really good but then developed a misfire, no logic with it, sometimes when running for a while or when cold. I kept the old points in a bag as a just incase and thank goodness. It took a while to swap them over but it was then faultless. Just had another weekend away in Lucky and yet again it was faultless. I have ordered a new dizzy (non shielded) wnich gives me a spare rotor points and cap or I could travel with the original dizzy as a spare. Also without the shielding the diagnoses will be easier.
I have also got 2 Facet RedTops fitted which is a quick way to determine the problem is not fuel related.
We covered 1900km and no problems. (except the misfire)
This is a shakedown for the BIG trip!!
