When I owned mine, I had a ' Facet Red Top '. Don't know if it is still in use. John, ( Grommet 1 ) now owns my old Gaz 66.

I am running a Facet Redtop on mine. It has been on for 2 years and no problems. I recently mounted a second one with 2 Y pieces and a 2 position switch to allow an on the move change should one fail. Well worth doing

Yes still running on a facet red top with Malpassi filter king regulator although it's usually running on LPG but working fine on petrol.
Make sure you have the regulator and it's properly set up or you'll end up with flooding and even a crushed float.

Whats the general view on the correct petrol pressure - is 3.5-4 about the consensus?

It should work fine on that. Probably best to keep the existing size petrol pipe to ensure sufficient flow.
