URAL goes Euro4 engines
Automobile plant "Ural" has started producing of experimental-industrial batch of trucks with Euro 4 engines. In accordance with new requirements the company prepared the design of trucks and their production process to replace Euro-3 class engines (JAMZ-236NE2) to a new generation of in-line Euro-4 engines (JAMZ-536, JAMZ-651). The first two "Ural-4320" 6x6 trucks from the pilot batch in the performance of "chassis for special equipment" received in-line six-cylinder engines JAMZ-53622 Euro-4 (240 horsepower, the working volume of 6.7 l), as well as transmission JAMZ-0905. Until the end of 2012 the company is going to produce 310 trucks with new Euro-4 engine for various purposes: the chassis for mounting cranes, tractors, chassis for pipes, dump trucks and even special buses. After the required tests the vehicles will be sent to corporate clients and to certification. The mass production of Euro 4 trucks will be started in 2013.

Yea I heard about these Urals, they're basically still the same old engines but fitted with the Adblue injection system, which basically just injects urea into the exhaust manifold to help reduce the Nox content, a lot of manufactures have fitted this system to existing engines rather than designing a complete new engine, trouble is the system is very intolerant of impurities and is complicated and often expensive to repair, even some tractor engines use it now much to the annoyance of many farmers
