Zil 131 ignition upgrade

Post by onewatt » Fri Jul 29, 2016 7:40 am

Hi,
There's mention of weak ignition on the 131, but I've not been able to find the recommended replacement, could you point me in the direction of a source please.
Many Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris, we've only just recently touched on this subject in another thread.....http://www.russianmilitarytrucks.com/ph ... f=1&t=7505

Thank you for the link.

It might be an idea if I Comms with Sean before posting and improve my search criteria!

Before I start looking across Europe, does anyone happen to have a spare Zil 131 Ignition module that I can buy or borrow to test my poorly Zil.
I have never had a problem starting before, but for some reason yesterday there was no spark. Everything tested,. Coil, dizzy , suppression resistor etc all appears to be ok. Dont know what else it could be.

I forgot to say that it did start by using the emergency buzzer box next to the module.
