My Reo Multifuel is ready for extracting the complete engine including transferbox and pto etc.
I want to take it out in one piece and fit it into the Zil.....in one piece.
Knowing that here's the question:
I have to take off the complete cabin including wiring etc.
Does someone have tips what to keep in mind while extracting the cabin...
The thought is to take it of and doing that with the least amount of work
Thanx
Mike

Re: Tips for disassembly of the Cabin
Depending on your lifting equipment then leaving the front wings and grille on might save a huge amount of time and get it on the road sooner although it all unbolts very easily. Taking it all apart would allow you to make it nice. Be aware of the gearbox mounts on the REO that they'll allow the degree of chassis flex you'll want with the zil depending on your body type and intended off road use., Likewise if you make any cross members make sure they can twist.
You might want to just make a new wiring loom too?

Oxy-acetylene, you'll have it off in no time ;)

Thanx jamie_grieve.
I will take the time to unbolt the front. )
All the screws and bolts are loose enough to simply unbolt.
As it seams the REO line 6 engine is around 10 inch longer than my Zil V8
So I probably will have to extend the front and hood to fit it all in.
I don't want to change too much on the looks.
