On the website you can apply to visit and they take groups if you can give them a good reason. I thought i might contact them about taking mine back for a reunion and sounding them out about a forum visit....
The photos in the equipment gallery are v interesting. Was hoping to find mine but not expecting it. I thought yours came from there too. If so they might entertain us going back and maybe give us a bit of history and regale us with stories of daring do... :-BD

Cheers

Yes John you are correct, Spadeadam is by appointment only. It would be very good for yours to go back but I am not sure that they would allow a military vehicle that doesn't belong to the MOD onto their site, but worth asking.

I can't remember if I told you that your Gaz 66 appears in ' Wings and Wheels Publications ' In Detail book Gaz 66 Variants, when it lived at Duxford.

John, before you buy the book I must tell you that there is only one picture of your truck inside. Your vehicle wasn't a feature. If you do want to buy anyway , I bought mine from Jeep Promotions in Doncaster. ISBN 80-86416-20-8.

As far as the two Zils, I don't think they came from Spadeadam . When I bought the Gaz 66 that you now own, there was a Zil 157 Radio Body and a Zil 131 Decontamination truck that survived. I believe that there were two other Zils that were scrapped , but don't know if they were 131's or 157's.

Regards
