Hi everyone,
I am an expat living in Kratie, Cambodia and decided to buck the local trend of Landcruiser 4x4 and go with a UAZ469.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to find out how old the vehicle is by the chassis or engine number?
I know its a newer one with the one piece windscreen and lower wipers, new door handles and tail lights, but I would like to confirm a year of manufacture if possible.

Can I get a light blue pin on the map in Kratie Cambodia?

Welcome to the forum. If you post some pictures up of the Uaz I'm sure we have plenty of knowledge on here to get a good idea on the date. You have a very experienced neighbour in Rob Reznik, up from you in Laos!

Hi and welcome - I'm up the road from you in Luang Prabang - got down as far as Pakse but not into Cambodia - still a few 469's here but most with Toyota or Isuzu diesels and very very expensive!!
