Tyre and wheel question

Post by Snowy15 » Tue Jun 01, 2021 10:14 pm

Good evening all,

The tyres on my newly acquired 452 are in dire need of replacement. They are very old and perished Russian 8.50 X 15. I don't seem to be able to find any the same for sale in the UK. Are there any alternative sizes that I could consider?

Also I have been told that some Suzuki wheels fit. Is that right? If so which ones, Vitara or Jimny perhaps?

Cheers, Steve

Remember to check the off set. some Suzuki rims cam foul. You can also use 16" rims the PCD is 5.5" or 139.5mm (140) the centre hole has to be around 4". I had to grind out the centre hole to get them to fit.

Thanks Derek,

Did you use 16" Vitara wheels?

Cheers

I bought 4 brand new Russian made tyres from Tarmot for not silly money, carriage was obviously quite expensive but they are such a good tyre it was worth it

I'm using grand vitara 16" on my one. The standard vitara wheels are the right stud pattern but the offset isn't enough

I seem to think so, but the wheels changed over the years. I will have a chat with a couple of my friends.

Some will fit, some won’t as the offset changed
I have some welled wheels off my old Niva that should fit
