Rear Diff Install 452

Hi all,

I'm having a VAL racing LSD installed in the rear axle on my 452. I've got a set of axle bearings from Todor as well to go in, but the garage that's doing the install suspects the bearings may need pre-loading with spacers after looking at the exploded diagrams from the parts manual.

I've had a look in the maintenance manual and can't find anything other than bolt torques, fluids and maintenance for the axle. Does anybody know what's needed in order to set new bearings up correctly?

I'm planning to get another VAL diff for the front (lighter model) so will be good to know either how to do it, or where to find the info from.
