Website problems
Sorry about the problems you may be experiencing with the site. If you get a 'Internal Server Error' message try pressing refresh on your browser (F5 for those with a keyboard) and it usually comes back after a couple of attempts.
We're working on the issue and hope to have it solved shortly.

Re: Website problems
I've made some changes to the site configuration that will hopefully improve the problems.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Re: Website problems
Seems to be holding up now. Thanks for whatever it was you did.
And thanks for all the other stuff you do while no-one's watching.
Best wishes, Colin

Re: Website problems
For some reason tapatalk on my phone will not connect to the forum now. It asks me to log back in and when I try I get the following initial error message:
If I persist and enter the userd-id and password I get this error message:Failed to connect to the forum. Please contact the forum adminstrator if this condition persists

Re: Website problems
Sorry, Tapatalk was one of the things that was causing issues across the whole site so I had to remove it. I can look at reinstating it again but I'm worried that it will break the site again.

Re: Website problems
I think before we potentially break the site again and cause you a whole load more work Karl, we ought to have a show of hands who currently uses Tapatalk (whatever it is )

Re: Website problems
No problem with that. Using TT was easier to post the photos direct from the phone without going via photobucket but that is a small thing, So if TT is briniging the site down I'll swap to using the phone browser.

Re: Website problems
Hi guys,
I'm still getting random Internal Error 500s
Refreshing the page fixes it temporarily.
If anyone needs a hand, I can have a look at the server logs etc - I've configured and fixed Apache and PHP problems in the past.

Re: Website problems
Thanks Chris. Last time the hosts got me to put
in the .htaccess which fixed it for a bit. I actually think it's a problem with the shared server as I can get the same error on another of my sites on the same one, and that only has a tiny amount of PHP on it. I'll contact the host again...
Code: Select all
<IfModule mod_suphp.c>
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/yourcPanelusername/public_html
</IfModule>

Re: Website problems
Ok, the hosts have identified another site on the same server that is using too much memory causing problems across the server. They say they've taken action and it seems better but I'm still seeing errors. I'm hoping it will rectify in time though.
Sorry for the problems, I'm as irritated as everyone else!

Re: Website problems
Ok, after some more changes by the host we seem to be up and running!
Let me know if you have any further problems with the site

Hmm, ok. I've not used suPHP before.KarlJ wrote:Thanks Chris. Last time the hosts got me to put

I think that just points to your local version of the suPHP config file instead of whatever the system one is.
Anyway, it seems more stable now.
Thanks!

Re: Website problems
It wasn't us in the end - some other site elsewhere on the shared server was eating all the memory - the perils of shared servers!

Re: Website problems
Perils of shared vs. cost of dedicated - I think the perils usually win out

Re: Website problems
The Internal Server Errors seem to have returned with a vengance, it's been pretty bad during the last 30mins
