Yeah, I liked it as well. Interesting rear body - not seen one of those before.

Look a bit closer and you will see it used to be an ASR-14 decon unit - but I can't work out what they've turned it into now :?

having looked through that lot-i.m pretty sure thetruck with the crane on the back that abrs wanted me to go trespasing[despite the attentions of the neighbour hood watch]to photograph is an early star.cos got the canvas top and the snouty nose and have since found out it is a petrol not a diesel so cant be a praga. will have to see if the owner is back from abroad.-especially as he has a decontam unit in the nearby shed that i want a look at too.

they have those bodies in Poland...its a service truck, full of this and that and a generator i think but dont swear me to that...

The star has the star problem ignition fault, I bet...they are renowned for it, already contacted a company about changing the ignition system...jolly engineering, their system can fit any 6 cylinder etc....

saw the friend of mine, that has driven the truck, this morning-he confirms that the beasty with the crane and big winch on front is indeed a star 660-he remembers been told it was polish ,not russian when he borrowed it a few years ago.showed him some photo's and is absolutely sure.also he is pretty sure the decontam unit is also a star 660.

I didn't think it was, I've seen the AV400 genny bodies and this doesn't look like one, they have roller shutter sides etc - Anyway I think you can still see the top of a tank behind the panels, I thought first perhaps it was a fueler but they have some apparatus that's missing from this one, also have a front mounted exhaust system which this doesn't.

It also makes sense to sometimes pay a little bit more over here and do without the hassle - although not mint I still think the radio body Zils from Withams were a good buy at £2500 plus VAT.
