Post by paulob1 » Sun Jul 03, 2011 11:22 am

She should be delivered on Tuesday or wednesday, possibly thursday depending on his drive hours...

then its get building, bound to be an interesting if expensive job, but I should have a nice truck once the work is done...if the engine cannot be recovered i will buy another one...

SEARCHING FOR AN ENGINE, no luck so far, excalibur used to have loads of them, they have enough parts though so should be okay to rebuild, just need list from boys...

Wheels and windows. Isn't that the mantra for selling cars? Pump those tyres up and she's good to go :))

Please bring it to Wagtails when it is done :D Will it go on the Foden?

a new engine is the best option i think...but we will see...I will be popping over to the czech republic once we have done the complete check over, there is a lot of work, but she will be running by the time we are at the next meet. she will go under her own steam..she wont be an off road only machine, she will be for road use too...

You could drop her off at Paul's on the way up as an extra driver then!

The front overhang on the Tatra looks a bit too long for off road - I know they are really good off road but I can't help thinking it will get damaged, even at Wagtails.

yes if you watch videos of the things they are always digging into the ground, they need the cab moving back a tad but the steering system doesnt make that so easy. For me its just a truck i had to have..

I reckon there's room for a complete extra axle and steering system under that nose!
