interesting info too, gaz 69 same as uAZ chassis...that is interesting...

yes it is interesting and the chassis from the uaz has diferent fastening fore the leafsprings and the crossmember is sitting difrently . but the chassis sice is the same . wich is great for me and anybody else who has trouble finding a original gaz 69 chassis un a usable condition

http://www.flickr.com/photos/64192360@N07/page2/ i have posted loads of photos on mu flikcr site showing the condition my gaz whas in when i got it sadly it turned out that the body was a wreck i could not save so i got another body well i did a realy stubid misstake by taking the hard top of to work on the rest instead of fixing the sils on the body and maby then the other parts that where rusted but i learned alot from this misstake .

my gaz69 got som brandnew shine metal in it now i did put in this weekend a the driver front door beam and the sils or what you call them that are under the door also fixed the passenger door beam had to cut out the lower hinge fastening and down to the floor

now i must rebuild the transmission bulge and make new floor pans i intend to do that over easter

then it is to rearange the fastening points on my uaz chassis and put suportbeams under the gaz body to , so i am as happy as a hippo in a mudd puddle
