It's ok, I was just interested to see how much it was in comparison to a figure a fella at a local firm quoted me, He's trying to arrange it as a back load anyway to try and keep the costs down a bit.

Sorry, I presumed it was Polish coz of the plates on the truck.

Been fixing lots of bits on my ot-90 over the last few days..
Finally worked out how to turn on the indicators and marker lights etc :-BD
fixed the comms (fuze)
adjusted the fan belts, helped with air supply build up :)
Fixed a dash switch for the rear bilge and smoke generator pump (fidley job that was !)
Fitted pkt deact machine gun. and kpvt soon..
checked water and oil.. oil needed 2.5 lts top up, and it uses that much on a 100 km drive ! :-o
made brackets and fitted new mirrors, now i can move her on my own :-BD
wired in a 24v-12v converter for ancilleries
Fitting reverse camera maybe tomorrow if it arrives?
Tried and failed to sort hand brake warning light, as the detent plunger and brass spring is either on constantly or off, grrrr, not given up yet! may resort to fitting a micro switch instead..
Read the manual some.... and it does approx 28-38 lts per hour on fuel.. :-o
Still working on the idea of driving days courses in the ot-90 or indeed any of our jeeps, trucks, bike, apc etc

I know - highly embarrassing.... :blushing: For some odd reason I keep thinking of it as a V8 despite all the books saying V6..

We as in the dock send our AC and DC motors to Dowding and Mills. They can re wind them to suit, new brushes etc.

I spent a few weeks or so there working with them, at Ipswich branch, clever stuff how they can rebuild a motor. There nation wide give em a shout.

It doesn't do starters particularly on big diesels to cranked more than ten seconds. You have couple of thousand amps going through compact windings that are not designed for long cranking. Its likely the starter is scrap, as armature core is likely to be distorted or damaged.

I will have a look in my Zil rear box as it came with loads of junk, and there were some motors, unlikely though.
