Re: War and Peace Revival
A question for those who have been on site recently: what does the Kitchener field (i.e. where Trapper was) look like? Last year I had nicknamed it the Desolation of Smaug... It was tremendous for re-enacting a post-nuclear-disaster world... but otherwise I was not much taken...
I have seen recent photographs of gently rolling prairies on another forum, but the reality is often very different locally...
Any comment that might guide my steps? I plan to roll southward first thing on Saturday.

Re: War and Peace Revival
we have moved pitch slightly..due to lack of space on our original pitch, we are opposite our old pitch now.. still in kitcheners field

I'll try and get up there tomorrow afternoon and stake out some space. Do you still want to go down in the corner?

Heading over to Ashford tonight. I'll stay over there and then be on site bright and cheerful (not early) tomorrow morning. Hope to see some of you during the day.

Re: War and Peace Revival
Great to catch up with folks yesterday. It was really good to have some company wandering around the trade stalls. Came back all inspired to get the Uaz going again.
Some pictures from me here:

Picked up a KSP/GPMG mount for the TGB at the show. Have to modify the replica KSP I have 'cos the mounting holes aren't big enough. But that's a job for the week-end.
Best wishes, Colin

We invaded the arena today, Colin and dangeous debs, 66 and 452, John in 66 and my 452. 2 ots, ural and a 69. Oh and abrdm that died!!
The going was ok, until Neal and Nick rolled around and plowed the field leaving me and Debs montains to climb in the little uaz's
All good fun

Re: War and Peace Revival
Hi guys, it was great to see everyone!
There were loads of awesome vehicles around.
I've stuck our photos here: http://46.247.10.180/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=1027
I've got some more to add later once i've copied them off our various devices.
Thanks to all the forum members who allowed us to use their stuff.
Roll on next year, and hopefully we'll be more organised by then!

Re: War and Peace Revival
Thats a great video!
Need another project next year Rob, you tried to make it harder this year by hiding the tools but we still managed. Hope your wrist has recovered after all that pumping you did! ;)
Great week, met alot of forum members, and the mighty Uaz dragged everything that wasnt green out of kitcheners at some stage from our camp. Was desribed as a little terrier dog pulling at its lead with all legs spinning!
