We do gwt a lot of attention but it´s always been good. People saluting or pretending to shoot us with sticks or invisible machine guns.
The police and armed forces are always interested but in a nice way. We have graphics on the side and back so it looks more like am overlander

Great! Maybe post some photos here for us facebook-impaired people? The high Atlas is one of the nicest parts of Maroc to travel in. Hard on the steering though, at some points we just went "sod it" and straight up the mountain instead of following the roads. Good memories :D

Stuck on the roadside with a vaporlock in the fuel filters. Moved them to a different position and all was good

Nice pictures!
I'm a bit late to the discussion, but I'm still here too :)
It it definitely quiet around here sadly, but I'm not joining facebook either.
As portmurda said, too many people posting trivial crap, and you're completely at the whims of the owners.
I'm playing with mastodon at the moment, which is ok, the content is good, but posts can only be up to 500chars each, which is a bit restrictive.
There's a forums-like similar thing called Lemmy and kbin which I want to try, but I'm having trouble compiling the server at the moment :/
I don't know why Diaspora isn't bigger, it's been around longer than Mastodon and has no such post size limit.

Yes, tried Mastodon but it’s a bit clunky and damn near impossible to find people and, I think as a result of the mass exodus from twitter, folk are just adding people regardless of any commonality

Maybe, but there's some interesting stuff on there.
I think it's worth supporting, it's probably like facebook was in the early days.
I'm finding enough people to make it worth sticking with.

It's in pretty active development, so things will get better.
