Re: Come on you lot...
I'm still working!
I work from home and so do most of the company I work for. Network Rail is our main customer and most of our suppliers are still operating.
But - for the first time in human history we are actually united by a single threat, right around the world. We are all on the same side, we are all in this together.
Stay safe, wherever you are.

Re: Come on you lot...
Hehe! not much yet, but looking forward to be forced to stay at home and attempt to finish many of my half-done/not-started projects
I've ordered a scanner, so hopefully if it arrives soon I will be able to start scanning some books in.
Btw, at the weekend we were collecting our daughter from edinburgh, and went past a ZIL 131 (possibly a GRAD launcher) in a rather sorry state near the A19 junction of the A1.
Maybe someone plays with it in the "Banks Shotton Surface Mine" nearby. Anyone on here the owner?

Re: Come on you lot...
I was thinking of refitting the air filtration system back on the GAZ . Only the space is now fully occupied with air con.
Don't think i'll be doing much home working but we'll get through this. We're used to managing with f all resources in the NHS. It's what we're good at
Cheers
John

Re: Come on you lot...
I am working on my truck, Gaz 66, in between showers, never had so much rain here. Took the half shafts out, cleaned and refitted. Wheel bearings cleaned, regreased. All back on. After an 6t axle stand broke, it was near max lift and the´top bit´snapped and the truck dropped onto the front axle!! I was drinking tea at the time, phew. I am waiting for 2 wheel slave cylinders from Russian Spares and a few other bits! I wanted just a seal kit as 1 cylinder is weeping but I can´t find replacement rubbers so.....new cylinders. I already have shoes. The handbrake has always been a bit useless so shoes and a drum also ordered The original is oval!? and the shoes pretty well worn out. The inside has seen a few more improvements, its getting closer to 3 star accommodation. A little bit more and it may be finished. I am looking for a bigger fuel tank on the right side (any suggestions).
Oh also got a 38DGMS to fit sometime although I will not be able to test run it for a while, cough cough.
I hope you realise you will probably be on lockdown for minimum of a month up to 3 months, Now is the time to buy all consumables etc before all the shops close. Oh and paint for the house, haha.
