I recall seeing a circular can intended to fit inside the spare tire...'hen's teeth' no doubt,but a neat accessory Anyone here fortunate enough to have one?

Very nice ! There is a similar bracket with wing nut on the right hand side of my boot which according to the scheme above was meant for this oil can. I use to hold a small can of water to top up the radiator . I need to have something there in any case, otherwise the bracket would bang and rattle... and I think I have enough noise as it is...dawidbajorek wrote:small details...

My small steps in restoring the original appearance
I made a soft top with a 50 year old canvas. After installation, I was heartbroken that he is too big ..
A little bit of water caused a miracle. Canvas shrunk!

another linguist ... I was looking for an old canvas throughout the year, then visited several tailors in person. I got a contact to a retired military specialist who worked in the military workshop. Agreed with him all the details ..
I put at least 80% effort into the creation of the canvas, so I think I've done it, and just tailor sewed.
