Hi Guys.
Here are some pictures of the location of the equipment: http://gaz69.org/SpecEN.html

Not sure about the spade and axe as most of the vehicles got then mounted outside. Maybe those are the early ones?

You are a mine of information! :-BD
Just one little detail: the second column needs to be headed Gaz 69 A as obviously the four columns give the details for 2-doors and 4 doors with 55 Bhp and 65 Bhp engines.

What a nice GAZ you have! I envy you guys over in Europe.... able to drive somewhere to look at an awsome example of a GAZ and then load it up and drive home.... Not so here in the US, we have a VERY limited selection. I do not however envy your MOT thing, here in the US we just take the title and $25 to a state office and its road legal... they never look at the actual vehicle :D
Keeper of the local Soviet stuff.... What is that?.. It's a what?.... Where do you get parts for that?

That's a strange envy... 8-| Do you see as an opportunity to show off how good your vehicle is? Sorry but it isn't... It can turn quite often into a battle to make them apply the proper regulations applicable to the age of the vehicle, rather than playing the petty dictators and claim that a 1950s vehicle needs to have airbags... That's why finding a SENSIBLE MOT tester is worth gold :-B

Kapral,
I have posted those two pictures on the German forum where many had been wondering about such matters for some time. Can you reveal where you got them from? Most Russian manuals at our disposal do not show those. The question is now identifying a few of the bits:
Exercising an understandable bias for the 4-door version :-B ...

So the mystery has been resolved before I got online :)
I found those pictures online, on one of Russian forums, I think.
I think we all have to remember that over the years the 69 was modified and adopted to various requirements. Mine for example haven't got the bracket for the AK-47. Simply never needed it.

Modyfications done thru years of production in factory is one thing, second is modyfications done is diffrent countries DDR, Tschechoslovakia, Poland. Even special versions of GAZ like mine chemical recognition in each of this countries was diffrent.
In resume we have problem to say what is oryginal and what is not.
For example in my gaz I have 3 holders for AK-47 like this

Gaz 46, Gaz 69/rsM1, Gaz 69A 1954, Uaz 469 rs, K-750

The base of this holder looks like it is for the AKM with wooden stock. When I was in the army, drivers has AKMS with folding stock, which wouldn't fit in this bracket. Another mystery...
