so the first pass is refusal. Then we will open the museum as open air exhibits, far from what I want but we have a bus that will become the library, we have tents that will become the food halls and we have the right to open 28 days a year so that is what we will do..

the museum will happen but not as good as I wanted...

So they’re applying the ‘you can do what you want on your own land, so long as it’s only for 28 days’ rule

Shame :(
I've just received the email noting the decision:

"The decision notice can be viewed and downloaded free of charge by visiting the Council's
website at www.easthants.gov.uk and following the links 'Search and comment on applications'."

Have they not heard of hyperlinks? :-?

Having worked for a Local Authority, they’re actually quite good at hyperlinks BUT some read the advice from gov.uk NOT to trust outside hyperlinks or those sent in emails...so in true jobs-worth fashion, applied it to ALL links including their own!
As for the decision...we originally got that with our pods, we met with the planners and ‘asked’ them for guidance on a long term solution...in the end, they came away with more knowledge of planning than they had previously...like ‘how to read contours on a map’

So the plan now...

Because they are trying their damnedest to stop the museum I will open it on the 28 day rule. It means I will open on the Saturday 1st May 2021.

I am going to keep it a very limited event weekend...it will be tickets only at 16.50 per day although members and military vehicle visitors will get the right to entry over the full 3 days for 5 pounds.

We will have burger bars coffee shops and one or two other food places a mini arena and a camping area...we will have a dance floor for dancers and a bit of live music during the day. idea will be to open from 10-4. all preliminary details at this stage so keep watching this space...
