Re: Front axle repairs

Good selection of mallets there Pete. On mine I had to make a slide hammer to get the ball joint support out of the axle.
Todor supplies a set of taper roller bearings to replace the plain kingpin bushes which I'm going to try when I get around to it.

Re: Fuel pumps

Can you tell me the thickness of the diaphragm for the metal pump? I'm thinking of replacing mine with a viton one but would like to know what thickness material to look for.
Thanks
Reg.

Eastblock - not trying to push you but I'm looking for a UAZ 452 if you have too much to do.

Re: Uaz - emissions and MOT

I would recommend using decent fuel rather than supermarket stuff, not sure about petrol but supermarket diesel nearly failed my old 2.8 Trooper.

Re: OT any Electricians here?

As I understand it, in UK we have a switch in just one wire, so if that is not live the article being switched would still be live after switch off - just the return (neutral) would be missing. Other countries I believe have two pole switching so that both live and neutral are disconnected when off....

Any Contacts in Ukraine?

Hi all
just wondering if anybody on here is visiting Ukraine in the near future and could collect a Ural motorcycle wheel from an Ebay seller and bring it back to southern England? He allegedly sent it to me in October but it never arrived and now he says it has come back to him.
Thanks, Reg

Re: Ural 4320 Diesel on ebay

There are a couple of Zil 131's listed on mobile.de at the moment at about 6000 euros, one is pre 1973 and both appear to have been plated at 7.5t which is interesting.

Re: Hello from Basingstoke

Hi Paul, I did try to PM you but it doesn't seem to have worked. I would like to see your trucks first hand and am fairly flexible as to when, given the restriction of ten dogs and a disabled partner to take care of.

Hello from Basingstoke

Hello everyone, I'm Reg and I am fascinated by Russian Military vehicles. I aspire to a Ural 4320 or a Zil 131 but at present ride an Irbit Ural Gear up in camouflage colours. I also have ten Shetland sheepdogs which explains the username. I am hoping someone on here not too far away from me has a U...
