Re: Robur buyers guide
Spares are hard to come by. They have an annoying habit of not wanting to start when hot. Make sure you have some spare fan belts with you as it is forced air cooled. It's a thirsty beast. Tyres are very expensive so make sure they are in good nick. I like them, have owned two that I drove from Germ...

Re: LUAZ anyone?
If it wasn't so expensive I would have it. Over they years I have made several attempts to buy one but never succeeded.
It looks like the same one that was for sale some years ago. I think Rob Reznik was involved in moving it.

Re: Selling Gaz 63
I have always fancied a Gaz 63 but I'm not up for driving one from Bulgaria to Faroe Islands. What is the reserve price? How much to deliver to 40885 in Germany?
Some better pictures would be a good idea if you want it to fetch a good price.

Re: Russian motor bike with sidecar
It's not a M72. It is a K-750. You can tell by the rear swing-arm suspension. The M72 had plunger type rear suspension.
750cc side-valve engine. Lovely bike - have owned one. I've also had a MW-750 which has a drive to the sidecar wheel.

Re: strange looking Jeep on E Bay
The UAZ 469 didn't start to roll off the production line until the 70's. No way this BJ212 can be from 1958.

Re: Off to Deutschland Dorothy
Because you need approval from French Customs to export a military vehicle via France. You may be fine - or you may not. Getting to actually talk to anyone about it in advance is pretty near impossible unless you speak French.

Re: Off to Deutschland Dorothy
I have lots of experience driving old iron from Germany to UK, but never involved in shifting anything with tracks on it. French Customs may give you a hard time.

Re: Moving to UK
Off I phuk again. Beginning of October I'm relocating to Germany. I work for a global organisation so it doesn't really matter which office I'm in. Since I can rent a nice apartment in Germany for £100 less than I pay for a single room in the UK it's a no-brainer. Plus I know several people in the a...

Re: Moving to UK
I would consider it. It would be a fun car to have on the Faroe Islands. Not sure how long it would last in that climate though. The air is very salty.
