Re: How about a RTF Meet
I'm interested, I'm hoping the Praga had gone to its new home by then but replacing it with a IFA W50. Doubt the Zil will be running by then

Re: 2018 Forum Meet
Porta, we are still based in Warwickshire, we rent the Cornish house out but wedding anniversary is that week so we keep the house free for ourselves. Planning on moving there in 3-4 years?

Re: Forum 2017 Summer Meet
I'm gutted I couldn't make it but I'm having fun in Cornwall at the moment. Hope all attendees enjoyed it. I'm looking at having an event here every year sort of April time when everyone is less busy. It will be mainly scammell based like my stag do but any off road truck will be more than welcome

8th & 9th July still in Cornwall, tunes in the dunes. Beginning of June works better for me but we need to cater for the majority so keep chucking them dates in

Re: Gaz66 with Cummins 6bt
I built my own starter relay for the Zil with a couple of winch relays, worked a treat so far. I have a diagram somewhere if you want?

Re: What plans does everyone have this year?
Going to look at shows in the south west this year. Hopefully I can get the Zil to the forum meet and other Midland shows this year, it gets boring driving the Scammell compared. The Praga just needs the starter sorting so hopefully I can get that mobile too for a few weekends at Avon Dassett quarry.

Re: POD gearbox
Starting to lose the will to live now, rebuilt starter, tested fine(without load), goes back to truck, fits starter, bloody batteries were flat!again! Might just push it into the quarry and stick to playing chess at the weekends.

Re: POD gearbox
So the Praga gearbox is back together, turns out an incorrect seal had been fitted allowing water in and oil out causing the reverse idler to bind on its shaft. £16 of seals and some new oil and it's fixed "hopefully". Couldn't test it though as the batteries are flat, gonna give it a go next weekend.

Re: Zil131 at Yorkshire Wartime Experience
Last time I was at Glazewing they had 12 of the white decon Zils stood rotting away. Looking on Google Earth I can't see them anymore, maybe they were cut up? Rob maybe it would be worth a phone call for the forum truck? They seemed pretty complete but that was 3 years ago

Re: My Zil ready to go
Are the balance weights correctly positioned on the rims? I presume they are to counter balance the CTIS so I've positioned mine opposite the valves and mine has no wobbles at all at any speed
