Yes that's right. Colin had some 20 inch rims made to take military tyres available here.
It's a bit if a pain getting tyres here from abroad. I got mine from Baltyre in Slovenia

Re: 13.00 18 tyre
I had a set of K58 tyres 340-457 13.00 18 6ply from Germany. The problem was the inner tube overinflating and tearing at the valve. You'd need to find an appropriate tube with the angled stem. The tyres were a bigger circumference and heavier so it struggled even more uphill. The fit on the rim was ...

Re: 5 years with a Gaz66
Great to hear the update Gareth. Was the ignition module from the UK. I can't remember if it was you who got one custom fitted from the UK.

Re: 375 has no power, stalls
Yes that's correct. You can use a meter or a lamp and set cylinder one so the marks on the flywheel align with the rotor arm pointing to cyl 1 on the distributor. You can work out cyl one by following the lead from the RH front cylinder to the cap or it might be marked on the distributor or cap.

Re: 375 has no power, stalls
If the distributor body has been released and rotated or the octane adjuster moved then yes you'll need to reset the timing. If you just took the cap off then it should be fine

Re: 375 has no power, stalls
It's a good opportunity to overhaul the carburettor if the vacuum advance is working and no blocked or split tubes or diaphragm.
The kits for the carb don't seem to include a new cup washer for the accelerator pump. I didn't fully solve mine until I replaced the carburettor. The old seal was sticking.

Re: 375 has no power, stalls
If it's electronic ignition it shouldn't have points and it's unlikely for the timing to go off unless it has been tinkered with. Check the vacuum advance if it has one. The diaphragm in that may have gone so it won't move the timing on acceleration. I'm not sure if it also has centrifugal advance b...

Re: "Crew Cab" ZIL on ebay
If he means it will run on neat paraffin then I'm surprised by that. Surely it needs higher pressure injection than petrol, in which case wouldn't that pressure be too high when using petrol? Zoltan experimented with doing fuel injection on the Gaz 66 and may be in a better position to comment than ...

Re: Fuel pump
It should work fine on that. Probably best to keep the existing size petrol pipe to ensure sufficient flow.
